MINIMALISM.. "WHY THIS IS A MUST ON YOUR WARDROBE"

Minimalist clothing. The outfit that can never go wrong, I mean, you are in a hurry and don't know what to wear, don't know what accessories you should take, neither if the shoes match, a total mess. The solution I suggest, just go for minimalistic pieces; a pair of tailored pants, a shirt, basic sandals, heels or flats, and hair down, just that simple and the best thing is that you don't need any other piece just if you have time to pick some statement earrings or necklace, or a neon clutch, just to pop out your look, then it is okay. But just with the simple pieces you would look stunning, without giving the impression that you tried so hard, or you were in a hurry and pick anything you found.

If you do not have any of these pieces in your wardrobe, in the bottom I´ll show you some of my favorites and how I would wear them.

Ropa Minimalista. El atuendo que nunca se va a ver mal, quiero decir, estas súper afanada y no sabes que usar, no sabes que accesorios ponerte o si los zapatos combinan o no, un completo desastre. La solución que te propongo, ve por piezas minimalistas, un par de pantalones entallados, una camisa, sandalias o tacones básicos, y el cabello suelto, así de simple y la mejor parte es que no necesitas otra pieza sólo si tienes tiempo de escoger algún collar o aretes, o un sobre neón, para avivar un poco el atuendo, pues esta bien. Pero solo con las piezas básicas te verás estupenda, sin dar la impresión de que lo intentaste demasiado, o que estabas en un apuro y escogiste cualquier cosa.

Si todavía no tienes ninguna de estas piezas en tu closet, abajo te muestro cuales son mis favoritas y como las usaría.

DIY "MONOGRAM"

What you need:

- Pencil

- Scissors

- Tape

- Acrylic Paint (Make sure it is for leather)

- Brush

- Palette

- Vase with water

-The piece you want to Monogram

Lo que necesitas:

- Lápiz

- Tijeras

- Cinta

- Pintura Acrílica ( asegurate de que pinta sobre cuero)

- Pincel

- Paleta

- Un vaso con agua

- La pieza la cual vas a ponerle el monograma

1. You need to print out different type of letters and sizes so you can select your favorite. (I used Plantagenet Cherokee in size 60)

1. Necesitas imprimir diferentes tipos de letras en diferentes tamaños, para así que selecciones la que más te guste (yo use Plantagenet Cherokee en tamaño 60)

2. Once you chose the letters you want, cut them and in the back, with a B or 2b scratch it all over.

2. Una vez escogidas las letras, cortalas y en la parte de atrás, con un lápiz b o 2b raya todo.

3. Paste the letter on the item you want to paint, I used "magic" tape. Then you write over them so it     acts like a carbon paper, also you can use it, but in case you do not have this is a good choice. (Make sure the piece you want to paint is not light, maybe matte would work. This clutch was really shinny and it didn´t work, but I managed it).

3. Pega las letras en el objeto que deseas pintar, yo use cinta "mágica". Después pasas el lápiz sobre las letras, para que actúe como un papel carbón, también lo puedes usar, pero en caso de que no tengas, ésta es una buena elección. (Asegurate de que la pieza que vas a pintar sea clara o mate, el clutch que use era realmente brillante y no funciono, pero ahí me las arregle para que funcionara).

4. Paint the piece with a thin brush.

ABSENCE

Hi guys, I am really sorry for being absent, like for a month now, School is been crazy seriously, and I have this bad luck, sometimes I have to do my assignments twice, can you believe that? Ok, with me you never know!! My computer tends to broke, well not the computer but the programs, I use like the 100 % of its ram memory every time I use it, so maybe thats the reason why everything tends to close when I am finishing, and what a surprise I have this thing for saving things at the end, (what a loser!!)

As you know the blog is my escape, and I love it, I wanted to tell you that I am planning a lot of things for this vacation, as I am not traveling anywhere, it will be "working" on the blog! How cool is that so I am Telling you that since next week wait for a lot of cool things coming in here :) Some DIYs, outfit posts and I am trying to make some videos on my make up or something like that. That is not completely sure but, lets hope I have the courage to be in front of a camera.

Hola a todos, estoy muy apenada por estar tan ausente, ya como un mes. La universidad ha estado súper loca, I como no tengo esta buena suerte, a veces tengo que hacer los trabajos dos veces, pueden imagiralo? Bueno, conmigo núnca se sabe!! Mi computador tiende a dañarse, bueno no él, pero si los programas, cada vez que lo uso, uso como toda su memoria ram, asi que creo que esta es la razón de mi  mala suerte, todo se cierra justo cuando voy a acabar, y que sorpresa que tiendo a guardar las cosas solo al final (que perdedora!!!)

Por otro lado, como saben el blog es mi escape, y lo amo, asi que les quiero contar que estoy planeando muchas cosas para estas vacaciones, pues no viajare :(, solo será "trabajo" en el blog ! Que genial es eso, así que les digo, de la proxima semana en adelante van a haber muchas sorpresas :) Algunos DIYs, entradas de outfits, y estoy mirando la posibilidad de hacer vídeos de mi maquillaje o algo así. No es tan seguro, pero esperemos que tenga el coraje para ponerme en frente de la cámara.

MANGO SHOPPING NIGHT '13 SS

Once Again I was invited to the Mango Shopping Night out here in Bogotá. I was afraid I could not go, I had class till 6:30 pm, and the event was at 7, but somehow I managed to get out of class at 5:30, I went to the venue, and change my clothes as fast as I could (I thought I had to change on my car, driving and changing clothes, that was a challenge, thanks god I did not do that), I was waiting for my friend so there was a bit of time to fresh my "red" face, I do not know if you guy knew but I tend to get red with just a "hi", so changing fast cause that red look on me.

The event was great, we had a cocktail, not good at all. And then again there were three surprises, two gift cards worth 500.000 pesos, two subscriptions to Hola magazine and last but not least, there was a gift bag worth a million pesos, from Estee Lauder. Also if you buy anything with the purchase Estee lauder would give you a free cosmetic bag.

As for the clothes, I loved, really loved the white pieces, and some print shirts that remind me of summer, beach, and cocktails. Definitely a must!!

Otra vez tube la oportunidad de ser invitada ala Mango Shoppng Night Bogotá. Tenía mucho miedo de no poder llegar, tenía clase hasta las 6:30 de la tarde, y el evento era a las 7. pero, no se como pude salir de clase a las 5:30 y llegue al evento, me cambié lo más rápido que pude (Pensé que me iba a tocar cambiarme en el carro, manejando y cambiandome de atuendo, no se de verdad hubiera sido un reto, menos mal no paso, porque depronto hubiera causado un accidente). Estaba esperando a mi amiga así que tube tiempo de calmarme un poco con mi afán, no se si sepan pero me sonrojo con nada.

El evento estubo bueno, nos dieron un coctel, que no estubo tan bueno. Y otra vez hubieron muchas sorpresas, habían dos bonos de regalo que valen 500.000 pesos, dos suscripciones a la revista hola y por último, una bolsa de regalo de Estee Lauder. También si se compraba algo Estee Lauder estaba regalando una cosmetiquera gratis.

En cuanto a la colección, me encantaron las piezas blancas, y las piezas con estampado que me recordo la playa, el sol, y cocteles. Definitivamente un must!!
