NEW YEARS EVE OUTFITS

New Years Eve is near. First of all I would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas, hope you had a great time with your familly and beloved ones, enjoyed your meals and had a blast. As for myself I did not celebrate christmas the 24th, it is hard to make all the familly together since there are other families involved, so we celebrate it the 22nd with my mothers family. And if you ask it was great, having a kind of two christmas parties is not something I can complain about.  

Anyways, going to the post theme, I decided to do this special post to share with you guys what I probably would wear to New Years Eve.

Las fiestas de Año Nuevo estan aquí. Primero, quería desearles a todos una muy feliz navidad, espero que la hayan pasado increíble con sus familias y sus seres queridos, disfrutado sus cenas y pasado delicioso. En cuanto a mi, no celebre Navidad el 24, es muy difícil unir a toda la familia pues hay otras familias implicadas, así que la celebramos el 22 con la familia de mi mama y el 24 con la de mi papa. Y si preguntan, es genial tener dos fiestas de Navidad, algo de lo que no me puedo quejar.

De todos modos, yendo al tema de esta entrada, decidí hacer un post especial para mostrarles lo que usaría en las fiestas de Año Nuevo.

DESIGNER LOVE "PRABAL GURUNG"

I just saw this designer collection at Moda Operandi website, and madly fall in love with all the collection from the pre-fall '13 trunkshow.  

Prabal Gurung was born in Singapore and was raised in Nepal. He studied in New Delhi and In New York, without expecting he was going to be successful he started working with Cynthia Rowley with the design and production teams. Later he was appointed design director at Bill Bass, all of his hard work takes him to launch his first collection, after five years in February 2009, branded with his own name.

I cannot believe I had not heard about him before, the thing is that, I know many of you do not know that, but his designs had been worn by the First Lady Michelle Obama, The Duchess of Cambridge, to name a few. It is not a surprise, these ladies have always worn the bests outfits. However, this is not the most interesting thing about his work, it has been awarded by CFDA ( and everyone in the Fashion World wants that, just by saying that the amazing Scott Schuman, Garance Doré, and also Cara Delevigne). On the other hand, he continue surprising us, collaborations in these days are "The best" so, he is on the move. Next year he will be launching a collaboration with Target.

Estudió en Nueva Delhi y en Nueva York, sin esperar que iba a ser tan exitoso llego a trabajar con Cynthia Rowley en los equipos de diseño y producción. Después fue nombrado director de diseño en Bill Bass, su arduo trabajo lo lleva cinco años después a lanzar su primera colección en Febrero del 2009, nombrando esta con su propio nombre.

No puedo creer que no haya escuchado acerca de él, la cosa es que, aunque no lo crean, sus diseños han sido llevados por la Primera Dama Michelle Obama y por La Duquesa de Cambridge, por nombrar algunas. Bueno no era de esperarse estas mujeres siempre han llevado los mejores atuendos.  Sin embargo esto no es lo más interesante de su trabajo, pues ha sido premiado por CFDA( lo cual es el sueño de cada persona en el mundo de la moda, solo piensen Scott Schuman, Garance Doré, y Cara Delevigne). Por otra parte el sigue sorprendiendonos, colaboraciones son lo "MEJOR" en estos días así que el no se queda atrás y el próximo año lanzara su colección en colaboración con Target.

TREND REPORT "TARTAN, PLAID, CHECK..."

Traditional Plaid. Since I was a little child I saw this pattern on my moms closet, I just loved it, it reminds me of the christmas season, but now there is a change, I mean, it is not just red and black or blue, it now comes with a touch of green, beige, yellow and so on. Also it reminds me of the Burberry traditional check bags, trench coats, wallets... It is amazing that it matches with everything.

What do you think about this? Would you try a checked piece?

Escocés tradicional. Desde que soy chiquita veo este patrón en el armario de mi mama, simplemente lo amaba, da un aire como a navidad. Ahora hay un pequeño cambio, me refiero a que no es solo rojo y negro o azul, sino que ahora hay una variacion en estos colores, se adicionaron verdes, azules, amarillos, mostaza, y muchos colores mas. También me recuerda a las piezas tradicionales de Burberry, tales como las chaquetas de trincheras, gabardinas, bolsos, billeteras... Es increíble como esto se puede usar con todo.
